Biology in the Palm of Your Hand: Where Life Begins
Kateryna Mozhova is a biology teacher at a rural lyceum in the Dnipropetrovsk region, located approximately 35 miles from the front line. Despite ongoing security risks, the school continues to provide in-person instruction, offering students a sense of stability and continuity in their learning.
Through a SEED mini-grant, the school received a microscope and sets of prepared slides. This equipment enabled students to move beyond textbook learning and engage directly with biological concepts through observation and hands-on practice, deepening their understanding of the subject.
The project supported students in a rural community and contributed to improving access to quality science education under the constraints of war and limited resources. We are grateful to the teacher for her initiative, trust, and for allowing SEED to be part of this educational journey.
