Classroom Mini-Grants
Teachers are awarded mini-grants starting at 5000 UAH (~$120) for classroom-based or after-school projects that promote engagement, creativity, and student well-being. These grants are meant to be simple, flexible, and responsive to what teachers know their students need.
Who can apply:
Any current 1–12 educator working in Ukraine.
Example ideas:
- Materials for project-based learning in science or history
- Art supplies for student-led mural or storytelling projects
- Books or games for classroom or after-school reading circles
- Resources for mental health and social-emotional learning activities
- Technology or kits to support hybrid or interactive teaching


Teacher Innovation Awards
These awards recognize outstanding teaching practices that go beyond the standard curriculum, blending resourcefulness, relevance, and heart. Awards will be issued in Hryvnia and may range from 5000 to 10,000 UAH based on the available funding and scope of impact.
Criteria:
- Use of innovative methods or tools
- High student engagement
- Originality or adaptability in challenging settings
- Cultural, civic, or community connection
Timeline:
The first award cycle is planned for late 2025. Following a simple application and review process, awards will be distributed semiannually to the winners.

Educational Exchange (Coming Soon)
SEED is working to establish a short-term exchange program to connect Ukrainian educators with opportunities for observation and learning in U.S.-based schools and educational institutions.
Opportunities may include:
- Classroom visits and peer learning
- Professional development workshops
- Networking with U.S. educators and school leaders
Selection Process:
To be announced. A small pilot cohort will be chosen through an open application process.


Ukrainian Language & Culture Support
This program supports projects that preserve and promote Ukrainian identity, language, and cultural heritage in education.
Support may include:
- Small grants for lesson plans or materials in Ukrainian
- Funding for student-led cultural projects
- Resources for after-school clubs or summer workshops
- Development of community events or exhibitions
- Creation of educational tools like flashcards, games, or short videos in Ukrainian
This initiative aims to keep Ukrainian language and culture vibrant, visible, and alive for the next generation.
